My big toe hurts! Sometimes my big toe throbs, and really hurts. I broke it like 15 years ago, but I haven't hurt it since. When it hurts, sometimes it makes my whole leg hurt... anyone know why?

Probably you have gout and that re-occurs years later from an old injury. The joint swells and hurts. Drink Plenty of water and take an anti-inflammatory.

About every three months or so I manage to jam mine while I sleep, but it's only been a couple of years since I broke it so I figure it goes with the territory now. Arthritis, Gout, Osteoporosis; the list of possible causes could get you an M.D. if you could write ALL of them down.

Gout is very painful.
Its from an excess of uric acid in your system.
My father suffered from it and he could not even have a sheet touch his toe.
He was a tough guy too.

Since you are not saying the pain is bad I'm thinking it could be an ingrown toenail.
