View Full Version : How do I buy a home with no money down, and low credit score?

I'm a proud mother with a not so proud lifestyle. My fiancé and I were doing great until he lost 1000 dollars a month in income due to a drop in the economy, and I had to quit my job thanks to sever medical problems but I don't qualify for disability checks to help out. All in all things are no longer like they used to be and we need to find a way to get out of our crappy apartment and into a safe and secure home for our child. But, because of our situation, and spending all of our savings on medical bills *and accumulating a low credit score for the same reason* we just want to get into our own place, put some elbow grease into it, and use the equity to get ourselves back on our feet until I can get better or find a way to bring extra income into the household without leaving home. *by the way, any advice on that is more than welcomed as well*

Thanks for the info...

I'll be blunt: you don't.

Spend the next few years getting out of debt and repairing your credit. Save some money.

Its what you are wanting to do that is causing the banks issues and the foreclosure rates to be so high... it's a bad investment both for the bank and for you to get involved in a purchase that you cannot afford.
