I have an '01 mobile home 16x80 and this evening when my husband tried to flush the master bathroom toilet we had to plunge it and water backed up into our master tub, later we went to use the smaller bathroom on the other side of our house and we noticed water in that tub also, and when we tried to flush that toilet same problem. We tried drano and plunging and no luck. We are on a fixed income so if we could remedy the problem ourselves that would be awesome! Any help on what could be the cause and how to fix it would be extremely appreciated!
thanks,

Egray8:
Sounds like the main drain to the trailer is blocked... or the storage tank you connect to is full.
Check the storage tank via access cover if possible, or talk with others in the mobile home park (if not on your property) and see if they can help you to determine if the tank is full... if so, it will need to be emptied... ;)
Otherwise, you will need to locate a main drain cleanout and then rent an electric cable machine from a local rental store and snake the drain to unclog the pipe. Be sure to get some leather gloves and goggles if you attempt this yourself.
Let us know if you have questions...

As far as I know we do not have a main storage tank, but I do live in a park. And where whould I look for the main drain cleanout in a mobile home/ trailer?

You'll find the clean out, (if there is one) where the drainage exits your unit. If there is no clean out installed you will have to cut the pipe and couple it back with a shielded metal band, (see image) Good luck, Tom

Thanks so much for your help we did have a clog in the main drain and we did not have a clean out so we cut our pipe and snaked it and then we put a coupling shaped like a t with a cleanout cap so that we don't have to worry about being able to access it again.
