How to write in scientific notation using 3 significant digits?

1) 7.2*10^5 divided by (3.1*10^2)(1.5*10^-4) [I got 1.55*10^3]

2) (1.791*10^2)(9.81*10^3) [I ended up getting 1.756*10^6]

3) (1.23*10^-4)(4.52*10^-3) [I got 5.56*10^-7]

4)0.00012(144,000) divided by 0.0003 [I got 5.76*10^4]

-Can u tell me if I got the right answers and xplain them if rong? Thnks in advance

1. Your significant digits is good, but the answer is 1.55\times 10^7. You have made some mistake in the calculation.

2. No, the 3 significant digits 1.75 not the 6, so it then comes to 1.76\times 10^6

3. Yup, that's right.

4. Yup, that too is right.

Hope it helped! :)
