Hi, All!

That's if you like beer. Not everyone does.

I know that this is largely a matter of personal taste and preference. But, it would be good to hear from others as to their preferences concerning making a "Black and Tan" if they've had that drink and/or know how to make one.

Thanks!

Sorry, didn't read your total question.

Pour chilled Harp in Pint glass to half
Pour chilled Guinness over a spoon slowly on top of the Harp.

This is the only way I have heard of it and made it. I was a bartender for 20 years.

They do have another one similar called a 'half and half' made with Guinness and Bass.

Hi, All!

I wonder why pouring a beer over a spoon would be necessary?

Thanks!

It makes the pouring slower and doesn't agitate the Harp, so the end product is tan on the bottom and black on the top.
