I want to take legal action against this person but I'm not sure what is the best way to go about it. This person was the Executor of a will left by a relative to both of us. One part of the will, which was legally filed in a US state, deals with a huge piece of property overseas. The will clearly states that I am to get a percentage of the sale price. Well, the Executor sold the property for a huge sum of money. He distributed the money as he pleases and for some reason or another ignored me and did not give me a penny ! In other words, he did not faithfully execute the will. He has since moved to another state (different from where the will was filed). Should I hire a lawyer in the state he resides in or in the state where the will was originally filed, or maybe overseas where the property is located ? Thank you for your expert opinions.
