I am friends with this guy. We have been friends for a while and I REALLY like him. Hes really nice and sticks up for me, but he has a girlfriend. Last night he told me that he didn't like his girlfriend anymore, and asked ME for advice on how to end his relationship nicely. Im really excited and I really hope he wants to ask me out but I don't want to get my hopes up. Any advice?:confused::confused::confused::confused::co nfused:

My advice would be to stay out of the relationship advice. There is a rule I have as a guy: Don't talk to females about other females, unless they are considered friends only. What does that mean? I don't talk to females I may have an interest in about other females I am dating/have an interest in.

Shy away from advising him on this break up as your motivations are none other than to date him. He needs objection, not bias. Don't be a rebound either.

The fact that you have feelings for him, your advice will be very biased.

Therefore, avoid giving him advice, but let him know that you will be there to support him as break ups are tough.

Stay out of that... let him figured that out on his own...

My motivations are not none other than to date him. My advice to him was to get to know her better, then see if he still wants to date her.

Bad as you want to date this person, he has issues that he needs to resolve. I think it would be a bad idea to try and date him right now. That would make you a rebound, as he needs some time figuring out what he wants to do with his g/f.
