I have a monkey puzzle tree in my garden which apart from the debris it deposits on the lawns, it has started to exude a sticky gluey substance from the trunk and branches which is causing considerable problems being transported into the house.
I do not really wish to fell the tree which is about 60ft high and 80 year sold but is there any alternative

I can't see a way of preventing the sap from being carried into your home.. it is an evergreen and their sap tends to be more sticky than other types of trees.. Did you know that they actually harvest the nuts from this tree and they are edible.. no big market for them yet but they are trying
