I am new to the DIY thing. And am not the brightest person at diagnosing. And I do not want to mess other things up along the way.

Anyway, about 3 weeks ago my toilet clogged. I was in a total panic. So, I jumped online to find a solution. Many different forums and websites had different approaches on how to handle the situation. So, I sort of tried all of them.. NOT smart. But eventually, got it fixed!

While going through that process I turned the water valve off to the toilet. Turned it back on eventually got it working. Sort of besides the point but I am wondering if it may have caused a conflict to water temp.

I do not know if this has anything to do with it but it was around this time my water got all messed up. Now my hot water faucets are cold, and cold water faucets are "warm"/room temperature.

HELP ME:eek:

Is this happening at just one faucet?

No, all of them. Kitchen, shower, bathroom sink, and washer and dryer

So you don't get hot water anywhere? Just warm water out of the cold? And cold out of the hot? Do you have a recirc pump. Is hot water heater working. Is it gas or electric. Shutting the water off to toilet could in no way cause this problem, so its just a coincedence. I would start by making sure the water heater is working. Good luck and please let us know what you find. Lee.

The water coming out w/ the cold faucet on is substantially warmer then with the hot faucet on. But, yes you correct it is not hot. I do not believe there a recirculation pump. I have an Electric Reliance water heater. Model: 130 10PSG9. The water heater seems to work fine. I did laundry the other day( washer and dryer are right next to water heater) and put the cold setting on for the wash and hot water was coming out. But, then I do not know why the water coming out with cold on is not hot.
