READ, AND HELP
I have 2 wear chapstick 24/7, literally! My lips are always sore, and if I don't have chapstick, the pain is unbearable! When I dotn have chapstick on (usely when I'm re-appling it and I lick the tiny bit that left on my lips in some spots) I lick my lips 2 keep them wet and moisturized. That makes them hurt even more, but if I just keep adding more and more chapstick I have 2 do it more and it doesn't last as long! Some of my friends say I put it on way 2 much. I have to put it on about ever half an hour - hour! Because the chapstick wears off. The only time I don't wear it is when I'm swimming, because they are wet and moist. Its really annoying and I go thro 2 tubes a month. Not 2 mention all boys think I am a goody-goody who wants 2 impress them. I've had this for about 2 years and I don't know what 2 do. At first I only got it everyonce in a while, like once or twice a year for a week or 2 but now I can't remember not having this problem. Now I'm going to a new school in 2 weeks and I don't want 2 have to put it on all the time. I want 2 make friends. But most pple judge me when they see me put it on. They don't see the pain I'm going thro.:o not 2 mention all my other problems. also I have 2 use burt's bee's lip balm which is really expensive because other kinds make it worse! That's about $12 a month. I don't know what 2 do! Help!
Thanks a lot sarah

Make sure you do not use flavored or scented.

Have you tried Carmex
You can find it in the drug store or wal Mart or KMart

You might need more vitamins A, B (*especially B1 and B6) and C.

Also maybe try drinking more water (not tap)

It is good to brush your lips with a toothbrush with vaseline on them. When your lips are damp apply baby oil or olive oil. Don't lick your lips! It makes your lips chapped. Also try using different things like lip gloss, vaseline, and medicated chapstick. You can buy lip balm for a dollar from this brand called elf. Lip balm | Lip Care (http://www.eyeslipsface.com/lips/therapeutic_conditioning_lip_balm)it works great. Regular medicated lipbalm from any store is the best.

Be really careful, because my aunt had the same problem and it ended up turning into some kind of rash on her lips! She had to go to the doctor and get some kind of medicine. The rash was really bad, it made her lips really swollen and cracked. Basically they told her it was from over using chapstick, because at most it should be used only once or twice a day. They told her just to drink a lot of water and not use any chapstick at all until it went away!
