Check your Outbox and delete the backed up mails that are waiting to be sent. How big is the message that you are trying to send? What email program are you using?

Is email to him the only email that's hanging up like that? If so, you may have exceeded a limit set by your internet service provider. I'd give them a call about it.

Also, is there an error code included with the message? If so, make a note of it and let them know when you call.
