I replaced the stove in my house which was hard wired. I only have a white, black and bare ground coming out of the wall. How should I wire it to the stove. Nothing seems to work.

Back up and read the instructions, please.

If your stove requires 120/240 VAC, then you have need for a true "Neutral" conductor.

Older units used the Neutral (White) and EGC joined to reduce the need for copper conductors.

Most modern day units require a four conductor connection.

Black and Red will be the Hot legs, White is the Neutral leg and Bare is the EGC (Equipment Grounding Conductor). You need to replace the cable from the wall outlet to the Main Panel or Sub Panel, depending on the current installation. You need to size the breaker,cable and receptacle for the correct needs of the newer equipment you are installing.

It is also very wise to get an electrical permit and have the finished work inspected.
