My small beagle mix has not been jumping up on the furniture like she used to. She tries and yelps sometimes, not all. This started about 3 weeks. Ago. She still runs in backyard with my other beagle, goes on evening walks as before also. She is slightly overweight, I have changed her to Iams weight control. It just started all of a sudden around the time we gave away our male beagle, don't know if it's any relation, she is much closer to the other female than she was with him. Can anyone give me some insight?

It would pay to have her checked out by a vet, there are too many things it could be...
She may have just pulled a muscle, done a cruchet (sp?) ligament, have slipping patellas or back pain.
Being a bit overweight could contribute to several of those things.

Beagles are also prone to arthritis, so have that checked to hehehe
