How would you prepare 1.00L of sodium carbonate from pure solid?

Thank you for posting your question to the Ask Me Help Desk.

Since Sodium Carbonate is soluble in water I would start with about 500 mL of water, add the sodium carbonate ( the quantity you add will be based on the molarity of the solution that you want), stir until all is dissolved (I would use a magnetic stirrer), and top off to 1.00 L.

Uh, you need a concentration in your question - 1 L is an amount, would that be 1 M?
