I am installing 4 outdoor post lamps, each running 180 watts (720 watts total). I would like to connect the wiring to my existing switch attached to the existing patio light (100w).
The circuit breaker (15 amp) currently installed is for the existing patio light, as well as many other lights on the first floor (1350 watts total). So..

Can I change the 15amp breaker to a 25 amp breaker and add the new lights to the existing switch?

Only if your planning to remove all the #14 wire and upgrade all the branch circuit wiring to #10.

Whew... ok I think you understand now. Sorry for being a bit scarcastic,but, just trying to set into anyone's mind the issue of just changing a breaker to a larger one.

#14 wire is only good for 15 amps or 1800 watts, and only 80% ,or 1400 watts if the load runs 3 hours or more.

So the best you can do is add another circuit for the added load.
