Hello all. I just bought some track lighting on the advice of my interior designer. The model is here:

Design Classics KIT 8-SN BAT | Satin Nickel 8-Foot Satin Nickel Rail Kit | Destination Lighting (http://www.destinationlighting.com/storeitem.jhtml?iid=230819)

The switch I'm going to hook it up to has a dimmer, but I noticed on the specs for the lighting that it is NOT dimmable. Can you explain why that is? Is it a function of the transformer, the dimmer switch, the light bulbs, or some/all of the above? Is my dimmer switch now useless?

Thanks so much!

I have Never seen a 230 Volt dimmer. They do make them. I have use Electronic Dimmers for Low voltage lights "Like" that. Someone else may provide additional info.

Where are you posting from? Fixtures that are not dimmable useally are using bulbs that can not/should not be dimmed. I am still trying to open your link and will post more later
