Help!I am in a committed relationship with my boyfriend of nearly four yrs.neither of us has an STD.we had sex two days ago,and after my vagina was slightly swollen with a little blood.I then noticed a change in my vaginal discharge.it is more gummy looking that its usual thinner texture.there has been no change in colour or smell however.could this be an indication of something?or is it normal for there to be a change in vaginal discharge prior to your period?I have never had a change before.

Our female bodies change all the time, missLi, hormonal balances aren't constant and adjust all the time (we are a finally tuned machine!) and as long as you have no odor or distinct colour, yellowing, etc. to that discharge, I don't think you have to be concerned. If it was particularly rougher then usual sex, or more intense, that would account for the change in texture of the discharge. It could be your normal PH balance adjusting again to compensate for slight damage to the vaginal walls. Maybe you were a little dryer then usual during intercourse. If, however, you ever see a yellowing of that discharge, that is the time to be aware and visit the doctor.

Hmm... tick,I think you may be right.upon further inspection,I used my fingers, and found that the discharge was stuck more on the walls of my vagina, and did not come out if I placed my fingers in.I had to literally scrape some off!hope no one finds this disgusting... :p
