Hi,
I live in Alabama. I have recently received a late payment notification from the mobile home park that I live in for more than I believe that I owe. I was behind for several months due to not having a job. I was able to bring my balance due to zero in Feb of this year according to the receipt that I received when I made my payment. On the same day I brought my balance to zero I paid 2 months ahead according to my receipt. I did not make any payments in those 2 months and started again in the month that my receipt showed that I was due and until this month I paid my payment on time and received a receipt showing a zero balance. Now my balance due including this month's rent and late fee is several hundred dollars more. I have spoken with the owner of the property and he did not look at my receipts and said that they are incorrect and that I still owe. This is the first time since Feb that this has been brought to my attention. Is there anything I can do?
