2000 dakota sport 4 wheel drive makes funny clicking noise on exceleration sometimes, but if you excelerate slowly no noise . Any ideas what this may be?

More info is going to be needed to help pin down what you're dealing with.
You could have worn driveline components, suspension components, motor and/or trans mounts... etc.

The universal joints may need repacking/greasing or replacing. The needle bearings may have worn enough to click, when a lot of torque is applied.
