So for the last past two weeks my 1988 Honda Accord LXi will run so smooth and out of no where just stop, it does not matter where. The car is good and runs great when it is not stopping on me. It is a stick, five speed. The timing belt has been replaced, and
Has no other problems besides it cutting off. I could be driving fine and it goes out, when I try to start it back up it just whines. It would switch over but cut right back off instantley. What the hell can this be, it is so irritating. I would let the car sit for like 30 minutes and it would start back up and run with no problem. I have two kids and can't afford to keep having this car stop on me like this. Can someone help me answer the question of What makes a Honda stop running?:(

. Replace the main relay--located in the left kick panel, just above the hood release.

. Replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil:

Heat is causing intermittent component failure. Replacing these three items should restore "like new" reliability and safety to your Accord.
