Hi All,

I have a baby who is a US citizen she was a preemie, because of this she has to see a lot of specialist and numerous doc appoints and therapy. I however, is not a US citizen. Is there any visa that can allow me to stay and work in the US till my baby is over most of her hurdles?

I read about the N-8 will that apply to me?

You can apply for a B visa to stay in the US for your child to receive medical treatment, but there is no employment authorization. N-8 visa is for parent of a special immigrant, not applicable. What is your current status, you should extend that.

There is no US visa that would allow you to accompany your baby and work, based only on her medical condition and citizenship status.

You need to consult with an immigration attorney to see what visas you qualify for and how to apply for them. Generally, the visas are directly related to your educational background and work history. What is the citizenship status of the father?
