I have a new carrier installation with the edge thermostat with dehumidify control. The compressor only runs to satisfy temperature stpt and not the humdity stpt. The installer thinks it is correct and I'm not sure how that would be correct?

Thanks

Most all,no all condenser compressors are supposed to turn off when temp is satisfied at the tstat,, as far as I no.

Nope:

This vision pro Buy Honeywell VisionPro 8000 Programmable MultiStage Thermostat with Dehumidification | Honeywell TH8321U1006 (http://www.iaqsource.com/product.php?p=honeywell_th8321u1006&product=100927&category=1624) can lower the setpoint up to 3 degrees because of humidity control.

Homeowner stats can't control humidity. They can only "TRY" to control humidity. There is no cool and reheat coils.

The Infinity stat has two possibilites to help control humidity, infinitely variable fan speed and setpoint.
