I am not really sure if I am in the right place, but we have been trying to conceive for two years. I have been off birth control for three years. My periods have been regular. I am one week late today. I took a home pregancy test this morning and it was negative. I am only concerned because I have been having unusal symptoms lately. For example, I have been getting up at night to pee, and a lot more frequent during the day. I feel exhausted most of the day, and I have been having frequent heartburn. I don't know if I am overreacting because I want to be pregnant. But overall I just "feel" like I am. Any advice??

Sometimes a test doesn't show a positive for a few weeks. Since you are usually regular, give it another week and see what happens. If still no period, try another pregnancy test or see your doctor/midwife for a test there.
If it turns out that you are not pregnant, talk to your doctor about the situation. Many times testing will be considered after trying for over a year without success. Good luck!
