I will be relocating to NC from VA for my job. I am planning to purchase my first home there. My daughter will need to be there before my relocation. First yes you can buy a home over the internet or by phone if you want to.

Since you have a one year old chapt 7 it may be hard to get a loan and if you get it, the interest rate will be very high.

Also since you don't know school districts and home areas, why not rent for at least one year to find out about the area first.
