Once the furniture is out of the home, unless you can prove ownership you can't. You can take her to family court or small claims but they will require proof as well. However the length of time together you would be considered defacto husband and wife and your are entitled to 50%. In this case you will need a family attorney. You will need an assessment of the furniture value. If you let her keep it the value will demonstrate good will and assist in demonstrating child support. Sometimes its best to simply start over. The most important factor and the children and your rights to see them.

Family Court will NOT decide who gets to keep the furniture. This is a matter for Small Claims.

They would be considered defacto husband and wife? Where exactly is that? I don't see that the OP posted where he/she lives but that is your advice anyway?

As far as your personal advice, I've read your other posts. The relationship board is where this and your other advice should be posted.

I'm referring to this. You stated you don't know where the OP lives, they said Florida.

Just got confused for a second. Anyway, I tried googling info and can't find any. But this isn't my field of expertise, so anything beyond links is going to get me in trouble.
