Ok so the electric guy comes and "fixes" the saver switch a couple of days ago. Today it is raining and I heard a crackling noise outside my window I look and I see a spark shoot in the air. It passé and I thought wow that was weird and let it go. A couple of hours later it happened again this time it happened with smoke that came up and the electricity flickered. The only thing that is under my window is my air conditioner and my saver switch. SO I shut off the breaker to the air conditioner and call my excel energy who came out and told me that I have to call the guy who "fixed the saver switch but they think it might be my air conditioner. Do air conditioners just start sparking when they are not even on? I am afraid to turn on my breaker at this point. It of course is supposd to be 90 this weekend.

Its really as simple as this. The ac nor the saver switch nor anythings should throw sparks even during the heaviest of rains. You have a serious problem on your hands. I would not turn the breaker back on until you get someone out to fix the problem. I would hate to see your house burn down. If sparks were thrown, any pro should be able to determine where they came from because there will be signs of extremely high temps due to sparking. Please let us know what they find.
