I was turning on the cold water faucet on the laundry tub to rinse something off and the handle went too far and now the water will not turn off, even after I removed the handle and used a wrench to try and turn the screw in; but to no avail. I have to turn the water off at the water meter because I have no idea where the shutoff valve is for the sink itself, but I don't think there is one. What will I need to fix this and how much will it cost me?

What kind/ brand/ type of faucet is it ?

No valves under the sink; I think it's hooked up to the main line or the valve is inside the wall. I wasn't able to get a brand name. If I was able to remove the faucet assembly altogether could I bring it to a store to find a replacement part for just the faucet?

Unscrew the large bonnet packing nut and take the stem and washer assembly in to a plumbing shop for a washer replacement. Before you go check the seat for nicks or rough spots. If you find any the entire faucet must be replaced. Let me know what you find. Good luck, Tom

Based on the problem described, I think you could have have Chicago faucet. Photo would be great help. If so, than you just tighten the bonnet nut while adjusting handle to the correct position. No replacement parts would be needed here.
