I have a 2006 Kenmore Coldspot side-by-side refrigerator. I have had a problem with the icemaker for about a month in that the icemaker is producing very little ice, about 16 per day, and the ice is about 1/4 smaller than it should be. The Freezer temperature feels fine.

Now I am noticing that the refrigerator is not as cold as it should be and the thermostat is at the highest setting for both the refrigerator and the freezer.

Please help.

Make sure that the air flow between the freezer and the refrigerator is not blocked or restricted.

Find where the water tubing is connected to the house water pipe. If the connection is made using a piercing saddle valve, close the valve completely then reopen. These some times get clogged. If that doesn't solve the problem find the water solenoid valve. Disconnect the input tube and make sure you have good pressure. Then disconnect the output tube to ice maker and check flow. If you do not have good flow you may be able to dissemble and clean screen. If none of this corrects problem replace solenoid valve.
