I have a roommate that moved in to my landlord and my house about three months ago. (ive been living here two years now) he acted nice for a while and now he's turned on me and wants to get me kicked out of the house and is making up stories about how I'm stealing his food and such and telling these things to the landlord. My past isn't the greatest but I've been clean/sober and working 50+ hours a week for several years. He is constantly threatining to call the cops on me (without reason) to check me out. He's got a good high profile government job but he's drunk 95% of the time. Can this constitute enough of a case to make a restraining order hold for a harassment charge?

If you get a restraining order and are living in the same house I don't know how you would pull off being away from each other enough to satisfy the order.

If he says he is going to call the police , hand him the phone, and say go ahead, if he lies to them, he will be the one in trouble.

I don't see really enough "danger" from him, he is merely lying to people about you, not threatening you

Yes. Evict him and take it from there.

Yeah but they asked about restraining not making them leave. From the sounds of it the landlord may take this persons side over the OP.
From the way it is written I couldn't tell if they live in the landlords house or they have an apartment in the same building as the landlord.
