I somehow managed to run out of oil on the power washer... it was smoking & had a bad smell. Put oil in, & now won't start... it will turn over, but not catch. Probably ran without oil for about 10-25 minutes.:confused:

Does it have compression? Resistance to pulling it over. Alternately you can remove the plug,stick you finger in the plug hole, pull it over. It should try to blow your finger out of the hole. No compression. No rod connected to crank.
