Hi, I work for a computer shop in New York, ever since 9-11 thing at my job have gotten very slow,

My employer started paying me delayed with the verbal promise that he will pay me once things get better.

With this promise then he started holding back till the point that he owes me 3 years of back salary.

I keep records of what he owes me and what he being paying me but I feel it’s not legally enough.

I have plans of leaving the job because my employer it’s no paying me.

I will like to create some form of promissory letter were he can sign acknowledging that he owe me back salary and if anything happen I can legally claim my money.

Thank you

Victor

Why don't you take him to court?
That is the only way you might see any of the money.
I can't imagine staying at a job where you were that far behind in your pay.

If your employer is not paying you

How on earth do you think he will sign a promissary note?

You will most likely be sueing for back-pay and as long as you have some proof you will win.
Maybe someone will catch this post it should be under LEGAL
