I received an advertisement letter from an attorney in Louisiana stating that I was being sued with a docket number and in civil court,But I have never received a court summons/supeona so what do I do at this point? Can I be sued even if I don't get served from the court?

It sounds like the "advertisement letter" as you call it was your summons/subpoena. Read it over carefully. If you have any further questions contact the Court Clerk. His/her name and number should be on the letter you received.

Yeah I would call the Court and see if there is anything pending on it.
They often send those forms only to scare you.

If you do get a court date make sure you do attend or it will be ruled against you.

If you have an phone number for them type it in here
It will tell you what problems others have had with them.

What do you mean by "advertisement letter"? Did this attorney say he was representing the plaintiff (person suing you) or that he wants to represent you?

Is the lawsuit apparently in Louisiana?

You can't be sued (the suit can't progress) until you have been served, but it's possible someone falsely said you had been served when you had not. In that case a judgment could be entered against you which you would have to attack when you find out about it.
