While riding my 1996 Harley Davidson Road King it sputtered and died. It has a new battery but when I tried to restart the starter would kick but it acted as if the battery was low. This is an electronic fuel injected model.

Hello ,
My name is boblom maybe I can point you in the right direction. Did you know HD has a web site for recalls and problems. Go to their web site enter your vin and it will tell you of any recall problems. Now to answer your question My blue knight road king did the same thing after a set of vance and hines long shots were added. First HD thought too much air going in, A FI bike is flakey when changing pipes or that super air clogging air cleaner everyone changed. So they reflashed my bike road it out of the dealer 30 miles from home dead again. HD had a recall on the electronic modgule for the timeing. My dealer who was ace's did the work for free on the recall, reflashed everything with the scream chicken program and now it runs fine. Bottom line a HD runs fine from the factory, then a very good owner opens up a screaming chicken parts book and the ax falls.I know after dumping 20 grand over stock for a bike that you could not ride. 124 jims kit,HD hydro clutch, oil coolers and the dame rear cyc would cook your leg like a bad burger from mickey dees.
