I have a wedding to go to this Friday, so I washed the dress I have to wear to the event because it needed to be washed, so following the washing and drying instructions the dress being cotton, shrank. I am really upset because I NEED to have something nice to wear and my $40 dress shrank in the wash! even though the dryer said it was drying extra low, there was still some heat and the frickin' thing shrank!! I need to know if the TJ Maxx stores have nice dresses at all because I have a gift card and really need to get something nice really quick because this wedding is this friday!!

Why not just go and look for a dress? Or see if you have a nice skirt or pants and shirt you already own?

I already did that and they aren't nice enough for this wedding.

I looked on their website and it says they sell dresses ranging from $16.99-19.99. It doesn't show any clothes though just says what they have. TJ Maxx pretty much has every kind of clothing you need anyway so you could try there. Good luck

I am sure the mall would have some inexpensive dresses too.

You could get a simple summer dress and frill it up with a nice shawl or fancy belt.Accessories can really dress up an outfit!

TJ maxx and other stores like it take clothes that have been discontinued, are defective, or surplus. So even if you find something, there's bound to be something wrong with it. It would better to go to a store like forever 21 and do as the lady above me said and play it up with accessories. Since it is the end of retail summer you can go almost anywhere and get a pretty dress on super sale because the stores don't want the inventory anymore.
