Well if you leave him you won't have a future with him.
You can go out with friends and have a life for yourself that way you aren't wasting two years. Having things you enjoy doing doesn't mean you are going after some other guy.
You have to decide do you want to wait on him or do you want to meet somebody else.

Agrees! Take some time to yourself to really think about the pros and cons.
You are young... only 17. You have your whole life ahead of you.
Religion can play a HUGE part in a couples lives. Do you believe in his religion? Or have the same religious beliefs as him? If not, that's something to think about because you will be around that 24/7 for 2 years!

Waiting does not mean you sit around and collect cobwebs until he gets back. It means not dating other guys, and saving yourself for him.
Go grow up for two years. Live your life and do anything you want. If you truly love him, you will find it isn't that hard to wait for him.
If you don't, you will worry about it because you can't hold yourself back.
You worrying that you will not be able to wait for him shows your lack of commitment to him, which shows your lack love for him. You are still young honey, go live your life, have fun, and discover the true meaning of being "in love".

You won't know if you have a future or not for two years so let him go and do your own thing, letting hi do his and you can see what's up AFTER he comes back. IF your both available.
