I need help in how to find meters per second

Speed = \frac{Distance}{Time}

If distance is in metres and time in seconds, then you automatically have the speed in metres per second.

If distance was in kilometres and time in hours, then, you'd have kilometres per hour.

I know it's the same as 12 meters in 3 seconds, and 8 meters in 2 seconds.
