Ok here's the thing me, and my husband have been trying for about 4 months to conceive already. Right now my period just came a week early, and its not a real period for the first day it was just verry verry light brown now its just verry light bleeding. Could this be an early sign of pregnancy?

I don't think that is a sign of pregnancy. Sometimes my periods are like that. Did you take a pregnancy test? Or maybe you should talk to your doctor about concieving.

Sounds more like an early, light period than a sign of pregnancy. But it can't hurt to take a hpt just to be sure. I second the idea of talking with your dr about conceiving. There may be certain foods and vitamins that you should be taking (I think I remember hearing something about folic acid) as well as things to avoid.

I also don't believe that you are pregnant. Sex can make a period apear early. It seems almost like clockwork. When I have sex, I either get my period in the night, or early the next day lol (dont ask me why, and I can't find any medical texts to back it up, it just seems to be true for me and my sister whom I've talked about it with)

I agree talking to your doctor about trying to conceive is a great idea as well, he can perhapes get you on a fertility calendar, or even prescribe some ovulation detectors (im not sure if they do that, but it would be nice to be able to use insurance to get it ;) )

Hi HOPE,

No this is not a sign of pregnancy, not to my knowledge, however women have been known to still have a period throughout pregnancy.

It could be down to maybe the contraception you were using initially i.e the birth pill, but you say you have been trying for 4 months so probably not.

I would give it a bit more time see how long your period last, perhaps in a few weeks even take a pregnancy test, just to if there is any thing showing pregnancy.

If nothing changes wait and see what your next period is like.

Should anything bother you or you feel unwell pay a visit to your GP he will give you correct diagnoses.
