Other than keeping up on especially hot days, my AC unit didn't really have any problems until now.
I turned on the AC and didn't hear the normal rush of air being pulled into the closet the unit resides in.
I opened the door only to hear a slight "rumble" every now and then... and what sounded like water going through pipes. I removed the filter and noticed a good amount of moisture along the bottom edge of the unit. The filter itself did not look to be wet that I could tell.
I left it alone until later in the nigh when I went to turn the fan on. It made that same rumble noise (stop start, not constant) and never kicked the fan on. I decided to try the AC just to see if it was still doing the same thing and this time, I got no noise at all.
I JUST replaced the outdoor unit a couple years ago, the indoor unit has been around a bit longer (6 or 7 years).
Any ideas here?
