I'm going to ask you another vision question, CM!
When do the lenses in the eyes stop changing? I want to get Lasik, and I know you have been around 25 or something, but I was curious.
My vision hasn't gotten worse in the past 2 years... is it possible it has stopped? Or will it continue to worsen?

Your entire life. You can be 18 to get Lasik. Doctors usually recommend 20 because that is when your vision kind of plateaus. I don't know the exact percentage* but more people than not have "touch-ups" on their eye surgery after a period, because their eye sight has changed over time since their initial result.
**Anyone that knows that percentage gets a gold star!

I ask such good questions, don't I? :)
I r yoosful. :)
That's what happened to my dad. He got LASIK a while ago... I think 2000... and now his vision is getting worse. Not too much, but he does need reading glasses. Bifocals, no less.
I laugh at him about it, and then I think of the bifocals I will be wearing. >.>

I didn't know you wanted me to start a new thread!
Don't beat me!

Most people don't want to spring for the "bifocal" surgery. Which generally they correct far in one eye and close in the other. It takes the brain a while to get used to. Generally costs more, and loads of people are very skeptical about it.
