I am in the U.S. Army and re-enlisted last December. When I enlisted initaially, I was given a bonus that I would receive in payments over 3 years. I received the first after I completed training and arrived at my duty station which was half of the bonus. A year after that, last August, I received half of the remainder and am curious if I will still receive the last payment next month even though I re-enlisted last year and received a bonus for that in a lump sum since I am deployed... does anyone know about this?

My son just reinlisted in March and he got the rest of his sign up bonus within a month or so.

That bonus is in your contract. They are legally bound to give you that money provided all the conditions are met

As far as I know, the only way a bonus can be retracted is a situation like say you're in the Guard & want to go active. Well the Guard $ is from the state so they may say "NO, You are ours for the foreseeable future because we paid for all your bonus money." I've heard a couple other examples but without confirmation won't spread them here.
