Hi, we moved into a new neighborhood and decided to see if our cat would stay within yard and not wonder. Well though I know and fully regret yes I should have spayed her but it was a trial. She stayed and males came to her! My question she looks like she pregnant till a couple days ago you could feel nuggets in her tummy and she is eattin like expecting mother would. She is losing hair(she is long haired), Her nipples are swollen, but now for the last week she seems more active then she used to be hyper then she will settle down and want a tummy rub? And she isn't nesting anymore? She seems to be losing wait and it hard to find the babies! Going though my caculations the last time I let her outside, (after her fling I brang her right inside!:). I can't fully remember but if I go by the latest date she is still overdue I can't tell if it is a false or overdue pregnancy!? I know it is my fault but I need to help her and the vets are just saying she will have them in time and I do not want to endanger my cat I love her too much and it is my fault already she is going though this can you help? Is there anything I can do at home to help her? What do I do?

If you are concerned get the vet to do an x-ray, this will show you if she is pregnant and tell you exactly how many kittens she is having.
It may be a phantom pregnancy as well though if she has been around male cats but not mated with them.

It's not like a vet to just turn you away and say "she will have them in time"
I would suggest a different vet.

If she is pregnant the best food for her at the moment would be either kitten food or if you can find one, a special cat food for expecting mothers.

thank you!! I called a different vet today and the secetary said "she was right on schedule" though the vet differ and wanted to do x-rays. The only thing I hate about that is they don't know her heatlh record and transferring information though it probably be best she is my baby! I found one article that said maybe the cat is "not going into full labour due to not finding a suitable place to have her babies. So I have placed all of old towels and blanket layered in hidden spots in every room! Not including the box. Then I placed the kennel up in the garage today, I am a panicky pet parent! :) Thank you for taking the time out to answer! I did call that vet to update and I will keep you posted!! :)
