Legal?? Probably, unless your particular bylaws and/or CC&R's prevent it. Most of 'em wouldn't address this kind of thing.

It IS pretty stupid, though. I'd run against the president next time, and dethrone him, using THIS mistake as your platform.

There is nothing illegal about posting such information. As excon said, I would doubt if the by-laws even address the issue.

Was any homeowner info posted or just the finances of the HOA?

What concerns you about them doing this?

As an accountant I would actually like to see more accountability from our HOA Board.
Right now some financial info is posted on a password protected site, but I would like to see more info posted and on an open site to make it easier for both homeowners and potential buyers to see.

Ok, so you WANT them to do it and they won't? So again, you rin for the board and try to get it done.
