Please take both to a vet to be properly checked out. It could be nothing or it could be something serious.

The unresponsive puppy could have distemper. They both need to be checked. You and your sister should not have animals if you do not have enough money to have them properly checked out by a vet. Being a puppy owner is almost as financially responsible as being a parent to a human child.

They're taking the puppy to the vet... but the other one is still fine.. they just can't take it till 10 minutes from now and yes I know my sister shouldn't have puppies if she doesn't have the money but her and her husband have 3 jobs but only get paid every two weeks and they have a baby they didn't expect the puppy to get sick.

I really wish people would realise that dogs are living animals and they get sick, and think about costs before they jump into these things..

AFter I replied to this post, I read in my local paper that the local animal shelter was closed for adoptions due to a distemper epidemic in the shelter. It went on to say that puppies were most succeptible to this virus.

I hope that these puppies are not the victims to distemper.

I agree with twinkiedooter

Why did she buy not 1, but 2 puppies if she cannot afford simple vet care for them??

Take them back to the breeder, if they were from a reputable breeder then they will happily take these puppies back from you.

If she bought these puppies from a backyard breeder then it is highly likely they have not had any vaccinations, worrming and the "breeder" would not know a lot about raising puppies.

She needs to find the money. A vet visit is only around $50. Tell her to put it on her credit card.
