View Full Version : A guest puppy pooped in our house, now our dog is pooping in the same spot

Yesterday, friends brought their puppy to our house. While we took a short day trip the 10 month old puppy got out of the kitchen by chewing through his fence and then pooped all over the upstairs.

So what do you think our dog did today to reclaim her territory? Pooped in all of the same places that the puppy did. :(

She has NEVER done anything like this-and is sheepishly staying away from me right now.

I sprayed a ton of Nature's Miracle on the area and am letting it sit-

Will this work? What else can I use so that she won't be inclined to poop and pee in this spot again?

I'm a big believer in vinegar - and watching the dogs, keeping them away from spots that might be of "interest" to them.

I do not use chemicals of any sort in my house.

Is it direct vinegar? Or do you cut it with water? Do you apply it by spraying?

You could add water but not too much and spraying it would be easier.

Good Luck!:)

She asked if we thought it would work I said yes. At first I did not read all the way through when I first suggested it. After reading again I told her /him that it has always worked for me.
