We just got a fridge that was left at another house. My father-in-law brought it over to us. He transported it on it's back. He told us that we had to wait only 4 hrs, then we could plug it in. Well now it's not working! It started getting cold and by morning it stopped. It's been unplugged ever since. We did try plugging it in again to see it it would work after sitting for 2 days, but still we got nothing. We need to know if all we have to do is drain it or should we just start looking for another fridge??

I think he did something by transporting the machine laying down. The refrigerant probably is the culprit. If you think it's worth a repair call, have a repairman look at it and see if it is worth repairing. Something else may have gone wrong during the move.
