I have a problem. Every time I startup my computer, additional drive letters show up... E, F, G and H drives. I have nothing in any other port or drive and I am confused why I get these. I do have the icon in the taskbar allowing me to "safely Remove Hardware, and it gets rid of them until the next time I fire up the computer and they are back again. What is doing this and how can I get it to stop?

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi,
I have seen multi-card readers do this. I have not tried to disable one; could be BIOS or initial boot, but I would think that is your culprit.
Peace,
Clarke

Above is true, do you have SD, MS, CF, SM Card Readers, these would show up as drives in windows explorer.

You can disable these drives in device mgr if you would like and in doing so, will not show up as drive letters in windows explorer
