Good evening

I hope someone can help the power windows on my 2003 ford windstar stopped working. I check the fuses and they all seem fine any ideas. The passenger window is down a bit and we are going to get some rain. HELP!

The vehicle probably has a windowlock mode or a child mode.

The driver's window always works. The driver's controls MAY work.
Look for a button near the window controls or check the owner's manual.

Well I checked and that is not the problem. What are the chances of both motors going a the same time, when you push the button you hear a clicking sound. There must still be power, they are just not working.

This article Fixing Ford Power Windows: Expert Repair Advice for 1997 Ford Taurus Electric Windows | Suite101.com (http://autotechrepair.suite101.com/article.cfm/fixing_ford_power_windows) offers a possibility.

I'm not sure how Ford does their power window wiring, but they were always different as to how they did things when I owned a Ford.

If it's single click, it may be the control relay. Actual power might be supplied by a separate circuit. The article suggests an ENABLE relay of sorts. Let's say that you can operate your windows a few seconds after you turn the ignition off.

I doubt that both motors broke at the same time. The article offers an explanation.

Thanks K.I.S.S.

I'll try to get the wiring diagram and go from there. I think now it might be a short because I got the window to work, long enough to put it up before the rain came. Thank goodness.
