I am located in Sweden, have been granted a Quebec Selection certificate-Skilled worker and I wish to proceed to apply for the permanent resident to canada from London.

Will my application for a canadian Permanent residence be granted, even though I have a minor conviction of shoplifting (items valud at 129CAD) 3months ago on my criminal record. The sentence in sweden was just to pay a fine of 72CAD which I have paid?

Does it mean, ones criminal record needs to be void of any crime to be granted this visa, or is the seriouness/equivalent of the crime or any other aspects of the crime as in canada taken into consideration?

Must I contact an immigratioin law firm and make them serve as my representative to obtain this visa?. IF Yes any recommended ,cheap and reliable law firm...

Thanks and I count on the reliabilty and sincerity of your answers...

Hey travolta, I am almost in the same position as the one you described. Did you find an answer to the question? Either by actually applying and seeing what the immigration says or by getting a qualified opinion? If you did, I'd be happy to hear about it. Please let me know to this email: [email protected] or simply reply here (but email is better) thank you so much, good luck and best wishes.
