Hi - Perfume bottle fell on my daughter's dresser. It is completely stuck/adhered to wood top of dresser. Any idea on how to remove - particularly without damaging at least too badly the finis. I can try and stick knife or something under - but thought there may be a better way. Thanks.

Try Goo be gone on a small more hidden area of the dresser to see if it does damage to the finish. If it doesn't try using that.

If that doesn't work then try WD 40 the same way.

Perfume is mostly alcohol. Shellac is dissolved by alcohol. Finish is probably shellac. Test finish with alcohol in inconspicuous area. Use a Q tip and small amount of alcohol to see if you can loosen bottle. Finish is probably already damage. Try to smooth with artist brush and alcohol.

I don't know if there's an easy way to get the perfume bottle out of there, you'll have to figure out how it got there in the first place. Something similar happened with my Drakkar Noir but it wasn't badly stuck, I only had to switch the bottle once and it was out, you should try that too.

If lazysusans bottle is still stuck 2 years later its probably a done deal.
