Hi,
I've installed water softeners before without any difficulty. In this house I can't figure out why there are two lines going to the house from the pressure valve. I'll explain. The pressure valve from the city has a water line that goes straight up about 5 inches and then it "T"s left and right. The left "T" goes about 4 inches and then it "T"s up and down. The up branch goes to the water heater and the down branch goes down about 15 inches and then it angles back toward the house. The right "T" from the pressure valve also heads toward the house. How do I know which branch goes to the house for the cold water and which branch is for the outside faucets? Thank you.
Gene.
